The Beaches
Our recommendations
Spiaggia San Michele, Sirolo
Spiaggia San Michele is located below the village of Sirolo, a bay surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, famous for its crystal-clear sea, white pebbles, and natural panorama at the foot of Monte Conero. Equipped with both beach resorts and public stretches of beach, it's ideal for those seeking relaxation, nature, and clear water.
It's one of beaches we most often recommend, easily accessible with the free shuttle service we offer our guests during the summer season.

Spiaggia Urbani, Sirolo
Spiaggia Urbani is a charming crescent-shaped cove, characterized by fine gravel and light-colored pebbles, crystal-clear water, and a sheltered location.
The beach is nestled between a cliff covered in Mediterranean scrub and a charming natural cave, making this a unique and scenic spot. From here, you can enjoy a splendid view of Monte Conero. You can stroll to the characteristic pier or continue along the shore towards San Michele beach when the sea is calm.
Much of Spiaggia Urbani is equipped with beach clubs, bars, and restaurants, but there are also some stretches of free beach. Thanks to the availability of services, the gently sloping seabed, and its sheltered location, it is one of Sirolo's most convenient and popular beaches.
The beach is easily accessible on foot from Sirolo's historic center via scenic trails, or by municipal shuttle, car, or electric bike.
Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, Sirolo
Among the most famous wonders of the Riviera del Conero, the Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle in Sirolo is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and beloved in the Marche region.
It owes its name to the two distinctive white sea stacks that rise from the crystal-clear water, which over time have become the symbol of the entire Conero's coastline.
This beach is completely natural and unspoiled: a stretch of light-coloured pebbles at the foot of the cliffs of Monte Conero, with clear waters ranging in colour from turquoise to deep blue. The absence of beach clubs, bars, and tourist facilities is precisely what makes this place unique—perfect for those seeking relaxation, silence, and direct contact with nature.
You won’t find any services here, so it’s advisable to bring water, food, and everything you need for the day. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a truly unique setting, also ideal for snorkelling thanks to the clarity of the sea and the rich marine life.
Getting to this beach is part of the experience!
Today, access is only possible by sea, with ferries and boats departing from the port of Numana, or by private boats, or (for the more athletic) by canoe or kayak. The old paths that once descended from the top of Monte Conero are closed for safety reasons, but there are still several panoramic viewpoints from which you can admire the bay from above.
To preserve the natural environment, access is regulated, and the number of visitors may be limited during peak periods.
La Baia di Portonovo, Ancona
Portonovo's Bay, located on the slopes of Monte Conero and surrounded by the greenery of the Parco del Conero, is famous for its clear sea, white pebble beach, and unspoiled landscape where Mediterranean vegetation reaches all the way to the water.
The beach alternates between free areas and equipped beach clubs, with seaside restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties, including the famous wild mussels of the Conero (moscioli).
What makes Portonovo unique is not only the sea, but also the natural environment that surrounds it. In the bay, you’ll find the characteristic Portonovo lagoons—small brackish water pools nestled in the vegetation—as well as the historic Church of Santa Maria di Portonovo, an ancient Romanesque building from the 11th century just a short walk from the beach.
